Resumo
This work, of cartographic theoretical-methodological inspiration, has as main objective to show the childish feelings of deaf children at the time of the COVID-19 pandemic. The photographic resource was adopted as a way of accessing the elaboration of deaf children's imagination in this context, and the guiding theoretical assumptions were the bilingual/bicultural perspective in the understanding of deaf identity and culture and the studies in post-structuralist perspectives. From a case study and the participation of a deaf child in the process of photographic and imagery creation, although the work had the objective of presenting to the deaf child an exercise of autonomy - in which he was able to appropriate photography as a tool, as door of dialogue and as a possibility of enunciating oneself - in the encounter with deaf children's productions, it can be seen that ways of doing (depicting and narrating oneself) are reproduced, still quite guided by adult/hearing expectations, which suggests that the work with photography or the construction of imagery narratives by deaf children can be further explored as forms of elaboration and construction of narratives of deaf children's subjectivities, since although photography can be a powerful resource for this, it seems still be little explored in the field, for example, in the education of deaf children.
