listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Retratos da pandemia: registros foto/cartográficos a partir de um olhar infantil surdo(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-10-03) Dias, Jonathas Oliveira; Cabello, Janaina; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4349074907357325; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7345050914021096This work, of cartographic theoretical-methodological inspiration, has as main objective to show the childish feelings of deaf children at the time of the COVID-19 pandemic. The photographic resource was adopted as a way of accessing the elaboration of deaf children's imagination in this context, and the guiding theoretical assumptions were the bilingual/bicultural perspective in the understanding of deaf identity and culture and the studies in post-structuralist perspectives. From a case study and the participation of a deaf child in the process of photographic and imagery creation, although the work had the objective of presenting to the deaf child an exercise of autonomy - in which he was able to appropriate photography as a tool, as door of dialogue and as a possibility of enunciating oneself - in the encounter with deaf children's productions, it can be seen that ways of doing (depicting and narrating oneself) are reproduced, still quite guided by adult/hearing expectations, which suggests that the work with photography or the construction of imagery narratives by deaf children can be further explored as forms of elaboration and construction of narratives of deaf children's subjectivities, since although photography can be a powerful resource for this, it seems still be little explored in the field, for example, in the education of deaf children.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Otimização do desempenho dinâmico de robôs paralelos acionados por cabos com redundância cinemática utilizando reposicionamento contínuo(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-10-03) Oliveira, Gabriel Luis; Fontes, João Vitor de Carvalho; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9473668144091435Parallel robots play a key role in manufacturing processes. Among its classifications, there is a specific type called parallel robot driven by cables (RPAC), which has good inertial properties and relatively low costs. Even so, there may be undesired characteristics, such as the presence of singularities inside the work area, which leads, for example, to loss of rigidity of cables, distribution of forces and vibration. One way to improve the manipulator architecture is through kinematic redundancy, a technique that consists of adding an active joint in one of the kinematic chains of the non-redundant manipulator. Based on that, a numerical model of a cable-driven parallel planar robot was implemented in MATLAB software and the impact of kinematic redundancy was defined through a continuous repositioning of the redundant joints. It was possible to compare different redundancy resolution strategies through an optimization algorithm, in order to minimize the forces acting on the cables during the execution of the trajectory, as well as to understand the influence of the rotation of the end-effector on these values. The results showed an improvement in the dynamic performance of the redundant manipulators compared to the non-redundant model, in addition to comparing between the redundant models which strategy was more assertive.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, #Casalibras: aspectos técnicos de tradução de libras para língua portuguesa na modalidade oral para crianças ouvintes(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-10-03) Santos, Thayna Thaysa Proença; Martins, Vanessa Regina de Oliveira; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4768682330164550; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5627414840860230Accessibility is an immense challenge to be faced when idealizing an inclusive society in which social equity is observed. Such challenge becomes more evident when it comes to access to information for deaf children. Audiovisual content accessible to hearing-impaired children has increased in recent years, yet analyses of the use of such material remain limited, both for deaf children and also hearing children, who must also be able to communicate in Brazilian Sign Language (LIBRAS), in order to participate in an inclusive society. This research project aims to understand how interaction and reception of audiovisual material in LIBRAS by the hearing child audience occurs. The present work was developed as part of the requirements for the obtention of a bachelor's degree in Translation and Interpretation in Libras and Portuguese Language (TILSP) from the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar). The objective of this research is to observe the challenges that translators and interpreters have to face as well as their actions in promoting linguistic accessibility to the Portuguese oral language to hearing children (children born to deaf parents, children with deaf siblings and students who attend bilingual schools LIBRAS/Portuguese in an extension activity named by #CasaLibras. Taking into account the need to evaluate the paths that lead to such accessibility and the actions of TILSP in assuring accessibility for hearing children, this research proposes a qualitative study in order to address the inclusion or the lack of inclusion in the media, using as methodological data the social extension project #CasaLibras previously mentioned. This is a case study on the translation of the oral modality of the Portuguese language in children’s media, the professional challenges of this activity and the reception of media materials by this audience. Data were analyzed based on the findings of Deaf Studies researchers. Results intend to contribute with new knowledge about these activities and attractive reflections for the training of TILSP, which is still a very recent field of study.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, A saúde mental do intérprete de Libras em sua atuação no contexto remoto em tempos de pandemia(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-10-03) Silva, Suyene Pereira da; Cabello, Janaina; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4349074907357325; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5643780069806617This project aims to investigate the professional LIBRAS interpreter work and its specificities facing the remote context practice started during the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly between 2020 and 2021. This new kind of practice raised some concerns about the interpreter’s mental health, since before this work was mainly face-to-face. Thus, as a LIBRAS translator and interpreter in formation, who had the first experience in this context (since until then I had no experience with face-to-face work), through an autobiographical analysis of my field diary written during my college internship, I sought to present feelings and thoughts identified throughout the interpretations, aiming to discuss about the impacts of the remote context in my practice and my subjective perception about my activities as an interpreter. Perceptions were categorized through content analysis, and the results discussed and presented indicate that, although new tensions have emerged with remote context work - impacting, therefore, the mental health -, some positive aspects were also perceived, indicating that future researches could focus on the issue of mental health care in the LIBRAS interpreter and translator education, so that it considers remote context elements from now on, since apparently this work has expanded and it seems that it will remain even after the face-to-face work re-emerged.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Surdidade e Transgeneridade: afastamentos e aproximações(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-10-03) Mateus, Idris Bonilha; Cabello, Janaina; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4349074907357325; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6732762402793631The theme of intersectionality has been an emerging discussion in recent years in the country, resulting in a growing number of publications about it in the academic context. Nonetheless, it still looks like there are a few studies focused on discussing the political and social uses of the expression, more specifically, in the relation between the deaf social movement and the trans social movement. Because of this fact, this paper is an exploratory study regarding this theme through bibliographic search, using the concept of intersectionality as an analytic resource, as an attempt of better understanding the meaning and the discourses to write an essay about the similarities and differences between both social movements that help the defense and claim of a dignity life for trans and deaf people. Based on the affirmation that social movements organized by minority groups regarding their specifics have similarities that offer concepts, theories and strategies capable of assisting on the struggles faced by social movements in general. This study is believed to add on the discussion of intersectionality already existing, contributing to both areas deaf studies and gender debates focused on transgenderism.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Narrativas em libras como dispositivo formativo para tradutores e intérpretes de libras voltadas ao público infantil surdo(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-10-03) Moreira, Jéssica Leite Pereira; Martins, Vanessa Regina de Oliveira; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4768682330164550; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8800335939893460The work of translators and interpreters of Libras/Portuguese Language with deaf children is a big challenge, especially when the children are in the process of late language acquisition, as commonly occurs with deaf children. This paper aims to analyze the strategies used for the construction of a version of narrative in Libras, aimed at deaf children, considering that they are still in the process of language acquisition. That is, to understand the possibilities of the construction of statements with imagistic descriptions and visual elements that favor the interaction and understanding of deaf children through literary stories or didactic productions by Libras. For the research we selected literary materials in Libras from the project called #CasaLibras and that were indicated as favorable products for the deaf children community for the discursive quality and visuality in the enunciative production. As a methodological procedure, we followed the analysis of children's storytelling videos from this project. These analyses will contribute to the training of translators and interpreters of Libras/Portuguese Language once we have highlight visual structural resources in the composition of imagery elements in Libras aimed at deaf children. The research steps were: selecting 6 (six) media produced by 3 (three) deaf and 3 (three) listeners in the project #CasaLibras; we sent to a group of deaf children to indicate which narratives were more enjoyable to them; we surveyed the media by selecting the most voted materials; interviewing each of the narrators of the 3 most voted videos; we raised highlights of visual strategies. As a result, the research showed that the components presented about strategies aimed at deaf children are fundamental to provide a storytelling that deaf child not only understand more, but also feel a desire to be part of the narrative. This happens by the playfulness that was provided through these resources announced by the narrators and demonstrated in our analysis.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, O ensino de Libras na formação de assistentes sociais de uma instituição tradicional do estado de São Paulo: aspectos curriculares(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-10-03) Angelim, Jonas dos Santos; Cabello, Janaina; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4349074907357325; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5689364896310848As of 2015, with the publication of Law nº 13.146 - Brazilian Law for the Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities (LBI) - much has been discussed about the deaf person with regard to their linguistic rights and their daily difficulties in providing care in numerous services, because of its distinct language (Brazilian Sign Language). In addition to this initial problem, we seek in this work to bring this discussion specifically to the care of deaf people in the field of Social Work. In this sense, the present work aims to verify how one of the most traditional Social Work courses in the country, offered by the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP), addresses the rights of deaf people in its curriculum for training social workers. . The choice criterion for the curricular analysis of this course is due to the fact that this is the pioneering course for the training of social workers in Brazil, at the same time that, at the same institution, one of the most traditional institutions for the care of the deaf in São Paulo is maintained. Paulo, the Division of Education and Rehabilitation of Communication Disorders (DERDIC). Thus, as a triggering question, we propose: would DERDIC's tradition in assisting deaf people and families influence, in some way, the curricular proposal for training social workers at this institution? Based on a bibliographic/documental survey and through the curricular analysis of the social work course, we observed that the curricular proposal of the analyzed institution does not explicitly present disciplines related to the training of more prepared social workers to meet the needs of deaf people in their linguistic specificities (mainly), which impacts, more broadly, on actions that promote greater social inclusion of this public.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Trajetórias, identidades e narrativas: aproximações das histórias de aprendizagem de português por um surdo e uma indígena ouvinte(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-10-03) Comapa, Marta Marubo; Cabello, Janaina; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4349074907357325; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2511033921330784Taking as theoretical basis the studies of cultural-historical psychology and bilingual education and from a rescue of my personal history as an indigenous bilingual speaker of Portuguese as a second language, and narratives and testimonies of a deaf person who speaks Libras as his natural language - and who also has Portuguese as a second language - I have as objectives in this work: 1) To report my experience regarding the learning of the Portuguese language; 2) To understand the trajectory of the deaf person as a Libras speaker and, how the use of his language can result in the formation of his identity and in his social inclusion; 3) To analyze the two experiences to understand and reflect on the processes of cultural and linguistic valorization of different socially discredited languages in relation to the use of the Portuguese language in the country. The research is relevant because it addresses two differentperspectives, the first is a perspective of personal trajectory as an indigenous speaker of the mother tongue Pano, who studied in a non-indigenous school, in which the language of formation is Portuguese, and how these gaps bring social reflections in (my) identity and cultural constitution; on the other hand, in the second perspective, I analyze the sign language (Libras) and its relations with the Portuguese, along with the personal experiences of a deaf man chosen to report his trajectory, to highlight the key factors in the strengthening of his language, identity and socio-cultural historical process. Thus, the goal of the work, by drawing possible parallels, was to perform an exercise of approximations and departures from the studies on appropriation of Portuguese as a second language by indigenous people and deaf people, adding to the literature of Deaf Studies more specifically and, more broadly, to discussions on bilingual / bicultural education in the country.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Demandas e trajetórias de mulheres em situação de rua do município de São Carlos- SP(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-10-03) Prado, Carla Cristina Pianca; Silva, Carla Regina; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6417501858864106; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9582241119353034This Course Completion Work is the result of Scientific and Technological Initiation Research that was accepted with a scholarship by the 001/20 notice of the Coordination of Scientific and Technological Initiation Programs of the Pro-Rectory of Research of UFSCar, with a period of validity between 01 /09/20220 to 08/31/2021. The general objective of the work was to identify and understand the main demands of cissexual and/or LGBTI+ women living on the streets in the city of São Carlos-SP and to create strategies and possible protocols to meet the specific demands of this group, contributing to the flow of care. intersectoral. In addition, it seeks to build social technologies based on the demands and reflexes caused and accentuated by COVID-19. To do so, it presents the confrontations and policies aimed at the homeless population, focusing on women and part of the LGBTQIA+ public, emphasizing the role of Occupational Therapy in the area. The research is part of the qualitative and quantitative field of study, proposing a documental analysis of the 1st Census with the homeless population in the city of São Carlos-SP and, later, conducting interviews with employees of the intersectoral network of the city of São Carlos-SP.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, “Os brancos estão chegando, trazendo escola, missão e saúde”: relações yanomami através da escola(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2022-10-03) Jabra, Daniel; Cohn, Clarice; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1714080901123094; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9692710011794352Having as a starting point Adriano Pukimapɨwëteri Yanomami's narrative about the arrival of non-indigenous and their schools, this dissertation proposes to reflect on the relationships historically built through the school between the Yanomami groups of the Marauiá River region (AM) and their non-indigenous partners, and also of how they have appropriated it to update and maintain their networks of inter-community relations of alliance and enmity. The Yanomami groups in Marauiá have had different experiences of schooling: the Salesian and the one called in Brazil as differentiated, and the adoption and defense of these two systems has become a stage for the expression of political differences and alliance between the groups, also operating in the processes of producing difference and territorial occupation. The arrival of the school serves for the forces of colonization and sedentarization, but also for the indigenous strategies of counter-effectuation of colonization, so that the adoption of schools by Yanomami groups occurs in parallel with a continuous process of elaboration of what the school is and what they have sought with her and through her. In this context, the political actions of certain Yanomami groups, including Adriano's, began to use the schools to counteract, or at least reduce, the violence of contact and assimilation.
