Políticas públicas no setor de biocombustíveis no Brasil relacionadas à diminuição de gases de efeito estufa

Abstract

This study provides a analysis of public policies aimed at biofuels in Brazil, focusing on the reduction of greenhouse gases. Programs such as Proálcool, the National Biodiesel Production and Use Program (PNPB), and RenovaBio are discussed, with an emphasis on the latter, which representes an environmental policy focused on the biofuels sector. The study also addresses governance challenges and the need for integration between economic and environmental policies. It concludes that RenovaBio represents a significant advance, but still faces challenges to fully achieve its goals.
