O ensino de cálculo de áreas na educação básica e aplicações

Abstract

We address the teaching of area and volume calculations, employing axiomatic and elementary approaches. Furthermore, we study them through the Method of Slicing and the Principle of Cavalieri, as derived from Integration Theory.

This work may serve as supplementary material for the teaching of geometry in Basic Education, as we cover the teaching of area calculations both from an elementary aspect and from their foundational principles.
