Abstract

Iinformation represents a basic precept for the development of several sectors. It s vital that sectors like health and sanitation, for example, knows all the variables linked to the provision of the services, aiming to address public policies wich can contribute to the improvement and achievments of this services to all trends of society.Tools wich can contribute to the treatment and analysis of information must be incorporated to day by day activities of those responsable to produce and publish them. The present work describes and analyses an application in Geoprocessing focus on BISWSS - Brazilian Information System on Water Supply and Sanitation. The implementation of GIS Geographic Information System represents an important contribution to the BISWSS development, supporting estrategical decisions and the future analises.
