The objective of this work is to establish the existence of universal bundles and to relate this existence to finite dimension polyhedra. As a consequence, we present examples of universal bundles for the case of classic groups.

Moura, Larissa (Universidade Federal de São Carlos, UFSCar, Programa de Pós-Graduação em Matemática - PPGM, Câmpus São Carlos, 06/12/2022)Let M m be a closed and smooth m-dimensional manifold, and T : M m → M m a smooth involution, that is, a period 2 diffeomorphism defined on M m . It is well known the fact that the fixed point set of T , F = {x ∈ M m |T ... -

Barbosa, Alex Melges (Universidade Federal de São Carlos, UFSCar, Programa de Pós-Graduação em Matemática - PPGM, Câmpus São Carlos, 24/03/2022)In this work, we will initially present generalized bundles, a concept developed by Fadell with the objective of generalizing vector bundles, Stiefel-Whitney classes andWu’s formula from the context of smooth manifolds ... -
Conjuntos minimais de pontos fixos e coincidências de aplicações fibradas
Silva, Weslem Liberato (Universidade Federal de São Carlos, UFSCar, Programa de Pós-Graduação em Matemática - PPGM, , 23/10/2012)This thesis was developed in two parts. Firstly, we consider a pair of fiber-preserving maps f1, f2 : M → M in a fiber bundle with base S1 and fiber Klein bottle. Using an algebraic system of equations we found in ...
