Educação musical e habilidades sociais: aproximações e reflexões para práticas na infância
Resumen
This undergraduate thesis aims to foster dialogue between the fields of Musical Education and Social
Skills; and as specific objectives: 1) Elaborate musical activities with the potential for the
development of some specific social skills; 2) Verify the feasibility and suitability of musical activities
to promote Social Skills. The research is based on the commitment of Musical Education with aspects
beyond the strictly technical and theoretical aspects of music, considering the knowledge of
psychology in musical teaching processes, at the interface between the social scope of collective
musical practices and the theoretical-practical field of Social Skills defined by Del Prette and Del
Prette (2017). The study of an exploratory nature had a bibliographical review and included the
proposition of musical activities relating referencial from musical education and psychology. The
answers of participants indicated that the material contributed to a better understanding of music
teachers about how the musical activities can recruit social skills, while they also seem promising for
use in social skills training contexts by psychologists. Furthermore, we got good feedback on the
adequacy of objectives and relevance of the material. Contributions were made by the participants in
order to improve the proposal regarding objectives and procedures. The results proved to be
satisfactory in relation to the stated objectives. It is believed that a new set of knowledge can be
boosted by enabling the meeting of these fields based on the needs and demands of the professionals
representing them.
