Projeto mecânico detalhado de uma máquina lapidadora industrial com folhas de processo, documentação de peças e sequência de operação
Abstract
Public universities have a limited budget, which results on the acquisition difficulty of some equipment needed for laboratory practices. Due to the shortage of equipment, activities need to be adapted or classes divided so that everyone can participate. The discipline “Principles of Industrial Metrology” of the Mechanical Engineering course at UFSCar, depends on a collection of test pieces and measurement accessories that are expensive, since they must have tight geometric and dimensional tolerances, such as low flatness error, for instance. One solution is to improve the geometry and surface finish of manufactured parts or equipment using an industrial lapping machine, which also reduces surface roughness peaks, improving contact between the part and the granite surface plate, which is the reference surface for measurements. Considering the difficulty in acquiring a commercial lapping machine, it is intended to reduce acquisition costs through the development of a machine design, based on existing patents, publications and commercial machines to determine the necessary constructive elements and their parameters. The intent is to develop a detailed project, documented in technical manufacturing drawings, specifications of commercial components and process sheets so that a lapping machine can be built for the Mechanical Engineering department at UFSCar.
