Desenvolvimento de indicadores de sustentabilidade para gestão de recursos hídricos na UGRHI Tietê-Jacaré (SP).
Abstract
This research aimed to develop a set of sustainability indicators for water resources
management (CISGRH) in the Tiete-Jacare Basin Committee ambit. The CISGRH
development occurred by three main steps. The first step consisted on conceptual base
structuring and empiric object characterization, and this phase had as main product a
group of specific sustainability principles applied to water resources management.
There were also studied National and International experiences for indicators
proposition and use, which subsidized, on second phase, proposition a list of potential
indicators. Three consultation processes were accomplished, seeking to identify
principal problems related to water resources to a specific area and possible indicators
to monitor them. The involved agents direct or indirectly with water resources
management and the specific region, such as committee members, academic and
technical specialists, were consulted. The results obtained by undertaken consultations
based the third phase that consisted on the CISGRH structuring. The obtained indicators
could previously be correlated with most of specific sustainability indicators principles
identified. It was still looked for to characterize each one indicator, under aspects as:
obtaining process or calculation, possible data sources, climbs determination, frequency
and wanted tendency. From the CISGRH elaboration process could be observed that
different actors' participation to indicators and aspects or problems selection, to be
monitored, is very valuable, bringing benefits as to insert them in the context and larger
their involvement. Although the set of indicators have been submitted to different actors
and analyses, it is recommended that these indicators are reviewed and updated
continually, with intention to assist for new demands that can appear in CBH-TJ.
