Abstract

The work sought to define the concept of peasantry and peasantry, above all through the perspective of the peasant moral order, he made a brief review of the history of the MST (Movement of Landless Rural Workers), held a discussion regarding the occupation as the most effective and efficient form of resistance created by peasants against the advance of agribusiness. An analysis of the post-redemocratization agrarian reform policy is developed up to the present moment, arriving at the concept of Counter Reformation Agrarian. In view of this discussion, the debate on the object of study was brought up, Sister Alberta Settlement, located in São Paulo, showing its organization, its history and the contradictions present in a rural settlement in the metropolis of São Paulo, ending with a reflection on the Study of the Environment in Rural Settlements while method.
