Resumo

Test procedures on the ground are essential during the aircraft development process. Considering the costs and complexity of these tests, the use of modeling and simulation tools is beneficial, particularly for systems like the antiskid system, which requires validation under diverse scenarios the aircraft may encounter throughout its operational life. This work aims to develop a longitudinal model of a generic aircraft using Euler-Lagrange equations to describe its dynamics, and to employ this model in the development of an antiskid system to enhance landing performance while preventing wheel skidding. The results demonstrate that the model, despite its simplicity, effectively represents the loads acting on the landing gear during braking, as well as the oscillations in pitch angle induced by the antiskid system’s modulation of brake commands. The antiskid system successfully reduced the aircraft’s stopping distance across various runway conditions, delivering particularly strong performance under adverse landing scenarios, and prevented prolonged wheel skidding, especially at high speeds.
