Resumo
Creativity is a construct that has been thought about and studied since antiquity. Previously, it was considered a gift or innate ability – and current common sense also perceives it this way. Psychology, however, seeks to study creativity systematically, creating theories that elucidate aspects of the creative process, person, and product, and based on these, develops interventions to improve creativity. In this sense, this work will investigate the possibility of using animated short films as a tool to improve creative responses in the short term. The sample consisted of 40 participants, aged between 18 and 25 years, divided into control and experimental groups, who were exposed to question-generation tasks about images. The results were organized, evaluated, and scored in terms of fluency, flexibility (in this case, with the use of three independent judges), and originality. It was not possible to observe statistically significant differences between the questions asked before and after exposure to the animated short film, and directions for future research are indicated based on these results.
