Resumo
Within the framework of the SUS (Unified Health System) Transgender Care Process, key health promotion strategies were established: the de-pathologization of transsexuality, the affirmation of the plurality of trans identities, and the autonomy of transgender individuals in making decisions essential for a better quality of life. However, research indicates that healthcare for *travesti* and transgender populations in Brazil remains exclusionary, fragmented, centered on specialized care, and driven by a curative approach. In this context, the autonomy of transgender and *travesti* individuals in the care process is restricted, and the bond between health professionals and service users is fragile, shaped by a structure of medical superiority and rigid care protocols. This study aims to analyze the processes of subjectivation involved in the experiences of users undergoing the transgender care process at a university hospital's sexuality outpatient clinic. This is a qualitative, analytical, and descriptive study that seeks to discuss the typologies of subjectivation reported by users during interviews and in narratives developed during a group workshop.
