Resumo
This study focuses primarily on the period of Covid-19, starting in 2020 and extending to the post-Covid period in 2023. The general objective is to understand how fake news and the anti-vaccine movement influenced the Covid-19 vaccination campaign. To achieve this, the following specific objectives were defined: it was necessary to analyze key moments in Brazilian health history and understand how fake news and the anti-vaccine movement have always been present in our history. Addressing the main impacts of fake news on the Covid-19 vaccination campaign is justified because it is essential to understand what happened in order to deal with the effects of fake news, which continue to harm public health today. This study consists of theoretical research based on literature review and data collection from selected theoretical texts and materials, treated qualitatively. With the information gathered throughout the research and analysis of the data, it was possible to conclude that fake news is directly linked to all vaccination problems during Covid-19 and in the post-Covid period, affecting even other vaccines and diseases that had been eradicated before 2020.
