Resumo
This research aims to understand the emergence of bioinputs, analyzing how they relate to central discourses of sustainable agriculture and multispecies life. By articulating practices and theories, the study draws on the works of Rachel Carson and Ana Primavesi, combined with active listening to agronomists and rural producers, to apprehend changes not only in the agricultural market but also in the relationships between farmers, agriculture, and the environment. The focus is primarily on transformations regarding concepts such as soil and ecological balance, seeking to examine how (or if) the use of biological pesticides can redefine the understanding of multispecies interactions. In essence, the study offers a critical and revised comparison between conventional industrial agriculture, based on synthetic chemical inputs, and sustainable agriculture, based on biological inputs, exploring their relationship with soil health and the diverse forms of life it sustains.
