Resumo

The present undergraduate thesis aims to analyze popular preparatory courses as critical educational practices, endowed with their own pedagogy and constituted as social movements committed to the democratization of access to higher education and to the formation of politically engaged subjects. By drawing on the recovery of the history and genealogy of these courses, this study examines their theoretical foundations, their connections with different social movements, and their proximity to Freirean pedagogy, understanding them as a pedagogy of the social movement. Therefore, based on the analysis of testimonies from founders, coordinators, and teachers involved in experiences of popular preparatory courses in the city of Campinas - such as TRIU and the nuclei of the Emancipa Network - between 2000 and 2020, these spaces can be understood as bearers of a collective and emancipatory pedagogy, articulating popular education and political action in the struggle for social transformation.
