Resumo

Transfer beams are frequently used in buildings as solutions for vertical discontinuities between floors, where column misalignment occurs, resulting in high concentrated forces and specific requirements for structural analysis and detailing to ensure adequate stiffness and strength. In this study, a parametric analysis of the structural behavior of reinforced concrete transfer beams is developed, aiming to evaluate the influence of cross-sectional geometry and structural continuity on the performance of these elements. The adopted methodology is based on the numerical modeling of different structural configurations using the TQS software, considering normative criteria for design and serviceability verifications prescribed by ABNT NBR 6118:2023. The results were analyzed in terms of internal forces, reinforcement ratios, crack widths, and deflections, allowing the identification of behavioral trends, critical performance limits, and structurally more efficient solutions. Finally, comparative analyses and technical guidelines are presented, based on the obtained results, intended to contribute to the design of transfer beams in accordance with normative criteria of safety and service performance.
