Resumo

This work presents a discussion on indigenous literature on children and youth education based on Law 11.645/08 linked to the Basic Education Guidelines law (BRASIL, 1996) which aims to train teachers for undergraduate courses with the theme the mandatory study of indigenous history and culture in primary and secondary education establishments. Presenting and exploring indigenous literature and its contributions to education is a way to strengthen scientific knowledge about indigenous literary works. Indigenous literature speaks to traditional knowledge and respects indigenous people and their ethnic diversities. Discuss the contributions of the indigenous movement during the 1970s-1990s, mapping the indigenous writers and literary works that emerged from the indigenous movement consolidated in the 1990s and that only in the 2000s did the indigenous literary movement gain visibility in the educational scenario and begin to be implemented in public policies giving a voice to indigenous writers. Understand and analyze, through bibliographical research, the main indigenous literary works for contemporary times and how writers and works contribute to the social formation of society through law 11.645/08 in the formation of a curriculum that includes ethnic diversity in the formation of individuals.
