Filmes de ficção científica: possibilidades e entraves para o ensino de ciências

Abstract

This work aims to understand how science is presented in a historical and political context within American industrial films, as well as to discover the possibilities and obstacles these films present for science education. The analysis of these films was carried out using Eni P. Orlandi's Discourse Analysis, with the theoretical framework constructed through Adorno and Horkheimer's theory of the Culture Industry, and Kracauer's justifications for the validity of a film as a representation of a nation's psychological mechanisms.
