listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Construção de mosaicos: uma análise por meio de tarefas exploratório-investigativas no 7°ano do ensino fundamental(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2014-05-15) Miranda, Sílvia Andrea Alexandre; Oliveira, Paulo César; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7516513469811353; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1959724625898586The present study aimed to analyze how an education that prioritizes tasks of exploratory- investigative nature can contribute to the generation and/or mobilization of geometric concepts in the 7th grade students of elementary school. More specifically, the tasks contained in this dissertation fieldwork, contemplated the learning of geometrical concepts involved in the composition of mosaics with regular polygons. The investigation of a qualitative nature, in the form of case study occurred in a public school in the town of Pilar do Sul, the state of São Paulo, where the information was produced and collected between the first and the second semester of 2013. The technique of triangulation of data involved audio, video and photographs records, students written records and observation notes of the participant teacher - researcher. To describe and analyze the process of students learning we support in Ponte (2009 ) and his various studies on exploratory and investigative tasks, in Fischbein (1993 ) with the theory of figural concepts and Tall (1995); who studied the phases of human activity and mathematical reasoning. The survey results allowed to identify the students progress and difficulties to explore the tasks over time they were performed. With the experiences, the students began to develop clearer written records and used a mathematical language with greater mastery of mathematical terms, in particular the geometry. Furthermore, they demonstrated appropriating and/or expand figural concepts like angles, straight, regular polygons and mobilized such knowledge during the exploration of the properties and relations of these objects.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Efeito da prática de curta duração no alcance manual de lactentes pré-termo tardios: ensaio clínico controlado randomizado(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2014-05-15) Soares, Daniele de Almeida; Tudella, Eloisa; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3207258034860219; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9965031852918633Objective: This thesis investigated the effect of a few minutes of reaching practice under different practice schedules on the reaching behavior of late preterm infants at the onset of goal-directed reaching. Method: This is a blind, three-arm parallel-group, randomized controlled trial. Thirty six late preterm infants (16,7 ± 2,3 weeks, chronological age) were allocated into groups that received reaching practice based on either a blocked schedule, a serial schedule, or no practice. The infants were assessed 3.3 ± 1.4 days after the onset of goal-directed reaching in three tests: pre-test (immediately before practice), post-test (immediately after practice), and retention test (24 h after post-test). Practice was applied between the pre- and the post-test (intrasession) and consisted of a 4 min. session of induced reaching using a toy in three activities guided by a physical therapist. The activities were elicited in separate blocks for the blocked practice group and in a serial order for the serial practice group. The control group stayed in the physical therapist s lap and was not stimulated to reach. During assessments, the infants were seated in a baby chair reclined 45º from the horizontal axis. A toy was presented at his/her midline within reaching distance for 2 min. The assessments were filmed and the images analyzed considering the following variables: number of reaches, proportions of proximal adjustments (uni and bimanual), distal adjustments (hand opening) and grasping outcome (reaches with and without grasping), and kinematic variables (straightness index, deceleration index, movement units, and velocity). Results: The major findings were increased amount of reaches from pre- to post-test for the serial practice group (p < 0.01). At the pre-test, the serial practice group performed unimanual reaches only; at the post-test, those infants increased the proportion of bimanual reaches compared to the pre-test (p = 0.05). There were no diferences between groups. Conclusions: Serial practice schedule may have required less perceptive and motor demands from the late preterm infants. The toyoriented experience, which stimulated the infants to perceive and act upon the toy successfully in a serial practice schedule, may have favored the infants perceptionaction coupling. This may have provided them with new oportunities to explore strategies to potentialize the transport of the hand towards the toy. Such stimuli were enough to lead to immediate, temporary adaptative changes.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Educação ambiental e o bibliotecário(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2014-05-15) Pinho, Fabio Assis; Furnival, Ariadne Chloe Mary; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1291482506649810; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4220711855480007ABSTRACT This work has as its subject the potential contribution of the librarian to Environmental Education (EE), having as the main objective the possibility of identifying if the librarians of the network of libraries of UNESP are contributing and becoming efficient in the promotion and awareness of EE. The method used was explorative in character, by means of a case study with the librarians of the abovementioned network, using a questionnaire as the data collection instrument, and using a qualitative-quantitative and simple statistical analysis. The results demonstraed that the participation of the librarian as a informal educator in relation to EE is necessary, with possibilities of valuable and quality contribution in this work, and also that the library offers a space beyond the available resources for the viability of related projects in the area.
