listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Estudo da resposta de tecidos de Citrus sinensis em fases ontogenéticas distintas à infecção por Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-06-29) Silva, Mayara Gobetti Fernandes da; Silva, Maria Fátima das Graças Fernandes da; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0457632122660653; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7278304042567759The objective was to develop analytical methods to evaluate the variation in the chemical profile between specimens of juvenile and mature tissues of Pera orange (C. sinensis) in cuttings and grafted on Rangpur lime (C. limonia) with symptoms of HLB, and without the bacteria, aiming to understand the resistance of the juvenile plants in relation to the mature tissue in the cuttings and in the graft. The seedlings were prepared from seed and these later provided cuttings which were rooted. The mature seedlings were obtained from segments of Pera orange seedlings produced in graft with Rangpur lime, and yielded cuttings, which were rooted. After 30 days in the humid chamber, the rooted cuttings were transplanted to pots where they remained for 6 months. The grafts were obtained by removing buds from the healthy juvenile and mature orange pear plants obtained as above. The grafted plants were 6-month-old Rangpur lemon seedlings, also healthy. Bubbles were removed from symptomatic Pera orange plants (with Ca. L. asiaticus) and grafted onto the healthy plants mentioned above. After inoculation of the bacteria by bubbles, the plants were evaluated by PCR at 10, 30, 60 and 120 days. After 120 days, mature plants showed positive PCR for root, lower stem, upper stem and leaves, while juveniles also had the same responses, however, their leaves, PCR indicated absence of the bacteria. The study of the chemical profile was carried out with the plants after 120 days of inoculation with the bacteria. These plants were collected and separated into root, lower stem, upper stem and leaves, dried and crushed. This dry material was stored in a freezer at -80 oC. These dry materials were extracted with MeOH:H2O (1:1) and analyzed by UPLC-QToF/MS individually. The data obtained were compared by means of multivariate analysis by PCA and OPLS-DA/S-Plot, and these indicated the fractions to be studied, that is, those where there was a variation in the chemical profile in the presence of the bacteria. An analytical method using UPLC-QToF/MS was developed to identify the main compounds and determine their relative amounts in all fractions suggested by the multivariate analysis. Studies have shown that coumarins are always present in greater concentration in mature tissues, and are present in the lower parts of the graft. Only one coumarin was detected in the upper stem and leaves, 7-demethylisotamarin, and also with the highest concentration in mature tissues. Only two flavonoids were detected at the base of the graft (lower stem), nobiletin and tangeretin. In the other upper parts, several other flavonoids were detected, and all in greater concentration in the juvenile tissues. An analytical method using HPLC-UV was developed to quantify the coumarins xanthylethine, seseline and 5-methoxyseseline, and the flavonoid hesperidin. This study confirmed seselin with a high increase in the presence of the bacteria, while the flavonoid hesperidin had its concentration drastically reduced in the presence of the bacteria. The data suggest energy savings, and this being channeled into the biosynthesis of more coumarins. Coumarins are present in the lower parts of the graft and must have bactericidal potential against Ca. Liberibacter asiaticus, whose initial development occurs in the roots.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Historiografia da biblioteconomia em São Carlos: da graduação a pós-graduação em ciência da informação(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-06-29) Santos, Brenda Barbosa dos; Gracioso, Luciana de Souza; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4898201916360294; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3520533074030197The Librarianship and Documentation course created in 1959 at Escola de Biblioteconomia e Documentação de São Carlos, was one of the precursors in Brazil and responsible for training most of the first librarians and teachers in the area. In 1973 the school was incorporated by Fundação Educacional de São Carlos until the course was offered by the Universidade Federal de São Carlos (UFSCar) in the 1990's, where it became Librarianship and Information Science. Many years after the creation of the course, its history is still not properly described, recorded and contextualized scientifically and epistemologically in relation to the currents and discourses built and assumed in this historical path. In this context, the objective of this work is to collect, systematize and analyze documents that describe since the creation of the Librarianship course until its incorporation to the university; and to collect, analyze data for the construction of indicators of the guidelines and undergraduate and graduate courses. From the systematized materials we also aim to identify the predominant theoretical currents in the course at UFSCar. The methodological procedures were defined according to the phases of research, the first phase was developed from an exploratory research, which used as a starting point, bibliographic surveys related to the teaching of Librarianship and resorted to historiographic research, based on documentary research, using records about the creation and operation of the Librarianship course in São Carlos (in this context, the research had a limitation in scope due to the difficulty in locating and accessing original documents that narrate the course trajectory in the city); The second phase was characterized by a quali-quantitative approach with analysis of the curricula available in the Integrated Academic Management System of UFSCar and of the orientations given by the professors from the Lattes curricula. Excel was used for the compilation of this data, as well as for the construction of the graphs and tables. Twenty documents, issued by different bodies, were found and considered relevant. Also, the undergraduate curricula from 1994, 1997, 2004 and 2013 and the first graduate curriculum were identified and analyzed. The undergraduate and graduate orientations and scientific production of the DCI teachers were analyzed, considering the absence of systematized records about the activities developed by the department and its teachers over time and the need to draw a profile of the scientific performance to identify epistemological aspects. It is concluded that there is still a great need to recover and describe the historiographic records of Librarianship in São Carlos for institutional memory purposes. After analyzing the data, it was found that the university course broke away from the characteristics of the French current marked by documentation, where currently it presents greater emphasis on the American current taken by Information Science, an aspect which has also been evidenced in the post-graduation.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Levantamento e análise de dissertações e teses sobre práticas pedagógicas no ensino de astronomia nos anos iniciais(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-06-29) Freitas, Allis Thuany Botelho de; Galletti, Rebeca Chiacchio Azevedo Fernandes; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1165657786360823; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5504046727818791During the last decades, the Teaching of Astronomy had an increase of scientific work interest. While there is a significant increase of interest, there are a few scientific works related to Teaching Sciences in Brazil. Among the scientific works of Teaching Astronomy, regarding schools, most of them are dedicated to High School. Aiming to evaluate which pedagogical practices were developed in Astronomy Teaching in the early years of Elementary School, this research, by a literature review of the State of the Art, theses and dissertations were analysed to address the central question of: What is researched in Brazil about pedagogical practices regarding Teaching Astronomy in the Early Years of Elementary School? Thus, the different sources were used, such as the database of the Centro de Documentação em Ensino de Ciências (CEDOC), in the Banco de Teses e Dissertações sobre Ensino de Astronomia (BTDEA) and in the bank of theses and dissertations of the Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES). As result, 10 scientific works of master’s dissertation and PhD’s thesis ranging from 2005 to 2017 from Public Universities in Brazil were analysed. The analyses of pedagogical practices indicates that themes related to Sun-Earth-Moon System, debate activities, sky observation, the registry of observations, such as storytelling and the construction of objects were the subjects most used. In general, the pedagogical practices object of this study had similar characteristics of the constructivist model pedagogical practices and presented focus on scientific literacy. This Completion of Course Work confirmed the insufficient number of works addressing the Teaching of Astronomy in Brazil for Early Years of Elementary School. Conversely, the scientific works analysed show the possibility of developing their pedagogical practices about Teaching Astronomy, contributing to foment curiosity and knowledge of Earth and Universe, aiding scientific literacy of students and dissemination of this field yet to be well explored in schools.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Detecção de mudanças com a geração de alertas do território nacional(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-06-29) Protti, Ariana Fernanda; Bourscheidt, Vandoir; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8224261649535795; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9571974191274150This report presents the results of the internship whose objective was to carry out the environmental monitoring through the analysis of satellite images, made available daily throughout the national territory, in order to detect changes in strategic areas designated by the Federal Police.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Escrita na universidade: um estudo etnográfico acerca dos desafios do fazer científico de estudantes no ensino superior(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-06-29) Silveira, Letícia; Brito, Luiz André Neves de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6863292359239733; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7196713851459662Boch et al. (2015, p.11) state that the field of research on academic literacy studies is experiencing notorious growth, mainly due to the massification of higher education, in which students manifest numerous difficulties when reading and writing texts at university. Thus, during our university education, we are faced with the issue of the discourse on the literacy deficit of students entering the university, an issue that raises the production of this work. Therefore, the objective of the research presented in this master's dissertation is to investigate the challenges imposed on students by scientific writing, to understand how they engage and position themselves concerning reading and writing practices in the classroom. The study is the result of a survey conducted at a federal university in the interior of São Paulo, during the second half of 2019, in which the focus of the investigation was based on the study of literacy practices of 21 students from the Linguistics course enrolled in the discipline “Laboratório 6 – Ênfase Texto e Discurso”, in which course completion work projects were developed. For data triangulation, I introduced methods inspired by the field of ethnography, through the use of instruments determined by me during my observation in the course: field diaries, a semi-structured questionnaire, documents referring to the course, and the participants' oral productions. Consequently, I started from the study of literacy as a social practice. Furthermore, to achieve the objective proposed in this work, I considered the studies of academic literacy to understand the students' relationships with reading and writing practices in the academic context. Thus, this research's theoretical framework is mainly based on studies on academic literacy and university education (KLEIMAN, 2001; BARTON, 2007; STREET, 2003, 2010; LEA, 2001; LILLIS, 2001; FIAD, 2013 among others). The results point to the need for a dialogical approach to academic literacies, given that there are dialogical relationships triggered between the subjects participating in the classes, between genders, between social spheres, between discourses that circulate in these spheres, and between identities assumed by these subjects in their texts. Facts that exclude the speech from the deficit of writing on the part of students and highlight the sociocultural aspect of literate practices.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Mapa de preferência e modelos mistos utilizados na análise sensorial afetiva de sais culinários(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-06-29) Abatti, Leticia Moreira; Medeiros, Simone Daniela Sartorio de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5531783544596412; Verruma-Bernardi, Marta Regina; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3470912236544684; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9906039137693777Considering that salt is part of people's food routine and is essential for the proper functioning of the human body, but, especially when in excessive amounts, it can lead to negative consequences for the health of the population, product options that can lead to a decrease in the daily amounts of sodium consumed by people. Therefore, it is necessary to sensorially evaluate common, light and herbal salt, as to acceptance, choosing for this two statistical tools, internal preference maps and mixed models. Thus, for the sensory analysis, acceptability tests were applied for the aspects of general appearance, color, aroma and flavor, with 120 evaluators (60 men and 60 women). Thus, it was concluded that, in general, common salt had greater acceptability in all attributes, followed by light salt, which in many aspects was well accepted by evaluators. Herbal salt was the least accepted product in most sensory attributes. Still for both statistical instruments, the only attribute that showed a difference in the acceptance of evaluators according to gender was the general appearance. Still, a difference was noticed between the results obtained for the preference maps and the mixed model for the attributes: general appearance, color and flavor.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Dar uma criança a uma família ou uma família a uma criança? O mercado contestado da adoção(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-06-29) Silva, Juliana de Araújo; Donadone, Julio Cesar; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7643906508178259; Candido, Silvio Eduardo Alvarez; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0194644249955417; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8929367040095475This thesis focuses on the issue of Adoption, establishing a dialogue between the adoption of children and adolescents with economic sociology. A reflection is proposed the existence of a contested market within these social practices. Adoption as an alternative to obtain the "gift", is treated as an "unpaid market", rooted in relationships of compassion, altruism and friendship. We seek to understand the processes and relationships that enabled the emergence and its current formatting in Brazil, guided by the following question: how did the Adoption practices arise and were configured in Brazil? For this, we take as a theoretical reference sociological approaches that make it possible to understand the dynamics, stability, and change in organizations. In line with contemporary aspects of economic sociology and sociology of organizations, knowing how the moral and cultural references markedly “non-economic” have influenced the dynamics of adoption. We focus on the dynamics of the shock between the bases of judgment and the attribution of legitimacy and the dominant forms of rationality in the field of adoption. Adoption as a social practice has been consolidated over the centuries as an instrument that allowed couples who did not have children the opportunity to establish their families. The Church and the State were at the forefront of intermediation between those who “gave children” and those “looking for children”, starting from the assumptions of charity to that of social well-being. Currently, the State has consolidated itself as the intermediary institution capable of linking these two realities and deciding the situation of several children and adolescents who await in their shelters the crowning of their destinies. The method used in this work was qualitative research, with documentary analysis of posters and folders from the campaigns of different organizations that work in the adoption of children and adolescents in Brazil from 2015 to 2019; and analysis of speeches in posts / comments by two secret groups about adoption, linked to a social network. From the results, the study made it possible to compress the formatting and meaning of the adoption practices of children and adolescents in Brazil, mainly from the perspective of the grantees involved in this process, in which the situation experienced is waiting, bureaucratic and biased by subjective meanings. We conclude that a perspective of adopting children and adolescents has a specific social construction, with its own culture and, therefore, it deserves to be considered in its specific features.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, A dimensão artística como proposta para uma intervenção didática sobre pensar a Educação Ambiental em tempos de pandemia(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-06-29) Jardim, Amanda; Souza, Carolina Rodrigues de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8152101475247049; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9143184855577348This Course Completion work addresses the theme of Environmental Education and the challenges in times of pandemic. It presents, as a theoretical suggestion, the development of a dialogue with the artistic dimension, as a pedagogical strategy to affect students on themes that deal with the debate on Environmental Education, especially during the period of isolation and remote teaching. For this, an intervention was developed, with students from the public network, from a state school in the State of São Paulo, remotely, focusing on the conception of Nature of these young people. It was possible to verify a great potential for the use of the artistic dimension in the process of awareness and change of attitude about the conception of nature of students, in addition to a closer, affective, creative and human relationship between the group, students and professors.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Sobre a permanência da Filosofia na escola e sua relação com o mundo tecnológico(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-06-29) Rissatto, Marcelo Artur; Maamari, Adriana Mattar; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5707827597161294; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6109074236451549This work intends to locate the role of philosophy in a world completely transformed (and in transformation) of the technological age, especially in what concerns the new information technologies. With this purpose, at first, we tried to demonstrate that the history of humanity is essentially the history of technique, seeking to establish a parallel of human development from the evolution of technique, to Greek techné and, later, to modern technology. The aim is to establish the validity of the idea that a computer revolution is currently underway that is modifying the human world in order to inaugurate a new anthropological moment. Based on that, the work investigates the main characteristics of this “new human world” formed from information technologies, exploring the concept of “virtuality” to determine the existence of what the philosopher Pierre Lévy called cyberspace and cyberculture. In a second step, this work will investigate how philosophy relates to technique and technological development, seeking to present the arguments of those philosophers who view technological development with suspicion, while presenting the prejudice that points to philosophy as useless within a technological world. That done, it is intended to demonstrate that such a view is based on a misinterpretation of the relationship between technology and humans, based on a mechanism that can be overcome. For this purpose, the arguments of John Searle and Pierre Lévy are presented, to demonstrate that technology will not supplant humanity due to the fact that a machine cannot think. Finally, it is intended to present a defense of the teaching of philosophy as a discipline of basic education, demonstrating that not only does philosophy have a place in the technological world, but that philosophers are occupying decisive positions in this future ahead.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Da abertura política às eleições de 2018: um estudo sobre as metamorfoses da agressividade no discurso político brasileiro(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-06-29) Chiari Reis, Geovana; Sargentini, Vanice Maria Oliveira; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1406919572611392; https://lattes.cnpq.br/5740607801543086Les discours politiques produits lors d'une campagne présidentielle après la période de dictature civilo-militaire au Brésil, donc dans un régime démocratique, sont marqués par plusieurs formes d'agressivité. The methodology adopted is the systematic literature review and followed the following phases: collection, filtering, and analysis of texts. The texts were taken from databases of databases of academic papers available at internet: Brazilian Digital Library, Capes Thesis and Dissertations Database, SciELO database, Google Academic and Microsoft Academic. The proposed section for the selection of texts was based on collecting the material that contemplated the expressions "Institutionalization of Distance Education" or "Institutionalization of DISTANCE" in the titles of the works. After completing the filtering, it was possible to group together 29 academic researches, 7 theses and 22 dissertations. For the analysis of the texts, all texts were codification. The coding was made from the choice of the categories of analysis adopted and was facilitated with the use of the software NVivo. The results demonstrate the relevance of the modality of Distance Education in the creation of Technological Centers in Higher Education Institutions, in the training of thousands of students, in the acquisition of knowledge for teaching and in the advances and even setbacks of public policies for EaD. We observed that the theme of the institutionalization of THE in public institutions of higher education still deserves a close look on the part of the academic community, because it has not been exhausted and requires the attention of the State to achieve equivalences of the modality with face-to-face education and to overcome the pedagogical and administrative demands fundamental to the realization of the mission of public institutions for continuous improvement of the quality and expansion of Brazilian education.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Produção por fusão seletiva a laser de revestimentos resistentes ao desgaste utilizando a liga Fe68Cr8Mo4Nb4B16(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-06-29) Rodrigues, Luana Cristina Miguel; Koga, Guilherme Yuuki; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0933095081175012; Botta Filho, Walter José; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8956458007749112; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4945117322835400Amorphous/crystalline Fe-based alloys are promising materials as protective coatings due to their high crystallization temperatures, high hardness and excellent resistance against corrosion and wear. The application of these alloys as protective coatings can increase the service life of engineering components operating in aggressive environments. Besides presenting interesting combinations between physical and chemical properties, these alloys are economically viable, due to the high content and low cost of Fe. In this context, the present work aimed to investigate the feasibility in producing coatings of composition Fe68Cr8Mo4Nb4B16 %at. by selective laser melting (SLM) from commercially graded precursors. The powders were gas atomized and separated granulometrically for further characterization by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), optical microscopy (MO), x-ray diffractometry (XRD) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). In the selective laser melting process, selected powders with particle size between 53 µm and 106 µm were used. The coatings produced by FSL were characterized by XRD, SEM and confocal microscopy (MC). The Vickers microhardness was analyzed on the top of the polished coatings. Tribological tests were performed based on the standard (ASTM G133-05) on polished surfaces (Al2O3 1-µm), in a reciprocal pin-on-plate configuration. The results were divided into three parts: production of powders by gas atomization; production and characterization of SLM coatings and wear resistance of coatings. It was found that Fe68Cr8Mo4Nb4B16 %at. coatings obtained by SLM, using gas atomized powders, have a higher hardness and wear resistance, specific wear rate in the order of 10-5 mm3/Nm, superior the SAE 1020 substrate, specific wear rate in the order of 10-4 mm3/Nm.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Itinerários terapêuticos de estudantes universitários em situação de sofrimento psíquico(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-06-29) Sousa, Raiane Silva; Bleicher, Taís; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9075358493860166; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4725195231748415The need of mental health care among college students is known by previous researches. Likewise, the many manifestations of psychological suffering has been investigated. From that, caring actions may emerge spontaneously, but they are also headed by the Plano Nacional de Assistência Estudantil, valid since 2010, which aims to reduce the federal undergraduate student’s retention and evasion. Among the established axes, health care is highlighted in this research, which aimed to understand the therapeutic paths of college students in a psychological suffering situation, understanding therapeutic itineraries as the search for health preservation. Individual semi-structured interviews were used, guided by the theoretical framework of the Life Story. The participants were dive undergraduate students from the Federal University of São Carlos, São Carlos campus, who had been studying in the institution for more than six months, over 18 years old. For data analysis, the theoretical references of Public Health and Psychosocial Care were used. After identifying the therapeutic paths, three analytical categories were formulated: i) elements of society and the university and the impacts on the psychic apparatus; ii) identification and characteristics of reported psychic sufferings and iii) common elements to therapeutic paths. It was possible to understand the therapeutic paths in their singularities, considering the personal stories and the provision of resources of each one. Common elements are important because they allow for broadening the debate to Public Health. Based on the results, we seek to strengthen the actions of prevention, promotion and mental health care for university students, both in this context and in the local psychosocial care services.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Utilização de aprendizado supervisionado na predição da demanda de energia no processo de produção de cumeno(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-06-29) Vieira, Mateus Vitor; Lima, Alice Medeiros de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0038936541518854; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7985027302936043Data Science is a field of knowledge very requested nowadays, specially for digital and technology industries. Despite the increasing investment in this area, also by chemical industries, some elements of data science, such as Artificial Intelligence and machine learning have been used by these industries since 1980s, with artifical neuralnetworks (ANN) being the most used type of algorithms. ANN are great at solving complex non-linear problems but this type of algorithms have some disadvantages such as poor comprehensibility and high hardware dependence. Therefore, this study is about the use of three supervised learning models (linear regression, decision tree and random forest) of high comprehensibility and low hardware dependence for the prediction of total energy and specific energy (energy per mass of cumene) of a cumene producing plant by benzene with propene alkylation. The features are molar flow of propene, molar flow of benzene, temperature and pressure. Data were generated by simulations in Aspen Plus® software, treated and modeled using Python and MS Excel. The models were better at prediction of total energy than specific energy. Even with all the complexity of a chemical process, the models were able to predict the energy required with approximately ±10% errors.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Qualidade de ovos de codornas alimentadas com feno de milheto e estocados por diferentes períodos e temperaturas(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-06-29) Luiz, Vitória Toffolo; Silva, Janaina Della Torre; https://lattes.cnpq.br/9427924844076648; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8948048388565749The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of including millet hay (Pennisetum glaucum) on the egg quality of laying quails. 192 birds were used, distributed in randomized blocks, submitted to four experimental diets (inclusions of 0, 5, 10 and 15% of millet hay), with eight replicates and six quails per cage. For the internal and external quality of eggs, a factorial scheme 4 x 3 x 2 was used, consisting of four experimental rations, for three storage periods (10, 20 and 30 days) and two storage conditions (ambient and refrigerated temperature). A total of 576 eggs were analyzed, with 24 repetitions per treatment, each egg being considered a repetition. The inclusion of millet hay in the experimental diets did not affect weight loss, shell thickness, Haugh unit, yolk index and yolk and albumen percentages. There was a decrease in the percentage of husk with the inclusion of 5 and 15% of millet hay and an increase in yolk pigmentation with the inclusion of millet hay, with the greatest color obtained with 15% of inclusion. Eggs stored under refrigeration resulted in better shell thickness, specific gravity and gradual weight loss. Egg quality is significantly altered as a function of the interaction temperature of storage x storage period for the parameters of specific weight, Haugh Unit, percentage of yolk, albumen and shell. We concluded under experimental conditions that millet hay can be included in quail diets up to 15% no affecting the quality of eggs, the storage in a refrigerated environment and for a shorter period of storage have better quality.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Método para classificação da reação de genótipos de cana-de-açúcar às ferrugens marrom e alaranjada(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-06-29) Lima, Wéllima Timóteo de; Chapola, Roberto Giacomini; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8482829848406302; Hoffmann, Hermann Paulo; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2564100797227851; https://lattes.cnpq.br/8547527969308227The brown and orange rusts of sugarcane are diseases of concern to the sugarcane industry, due to the rapid spread of causal agents and the potential for damage to productivity. The main method for controlling both is the planting of resistant varieties, which is why genetic improvement programs must conduct tests that determine, with assertiveness, the reaction of genotypes to these diseases. The objective of this work was to establish a method to classify the reaction of sugarcane genotypes to brown and orange rust, based on field experiments under natural infection conditions. Between 2015 and 2019, five experiments were conducted in the city of Araras, São Paulo. The varieties SP89-1115 and RB835486, susceptible to orange rust and brown rust, respectively, were used as infective lines, with the objective of increasing and uniforming the inoculum pressure on the genotypes to be evaluated. The eight varieties selected for this work were compared to each other through the variables maximum severity score and area under the corrected disease progress curve (AACPDC). Subsequently, the AACPDC relative to the standard susceptibility varieties was calculated in order to classify the genotypes as resistant, intermediate or susceptible to each rust. Considering brown rust, varieties RB855156, RB92579, SP81-3250 and SP89-1115 were resistant, while CTC4 and RB855035 were susceptible, and SP80-1842 was intermediate. Regarding orange rust, the genotypes CTC4, RB835486, SP80-1842 and RB855035 showed resistance, while the varieties RB855156 and RB92579 showed an intermediate reaction and SP81-3250 was classified as susceptible. The method used to classify the reaction of sugarcane genotypes to rust is suitable for experiments conducted under conditions similar to those of the present study, as it was able to differentiate the evaluated varieties into resistant, intermediate and susceptible to both diseases.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Pensando no passado para resolver problemas no futuro: o pensamento contrafactual se articula com a resolução de conflitos interpessoais?(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-06-29) Setti, Anik Giovanna Barham; Schelini, Patrícia Waltz; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6185333517392859; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0397492077345413When people think about how past events could have turned out differently, or when they imagine "What if..." or "If only" scenarios, they are thinking counterfactually. Counterfactual thoughts usually follow negative outcomes and have many functions, including emotional regulation. When interpersonal conflicts occur, people often wish things had turned out differently; however, the role of counterfactual thinking in managing conflicts has not yet been investigated. In this study we examined whether interpersonal conflicts give rise to counterfactual thoughts, and if these thoughts affect conflict resolution, either by facilitating or complicating it, and if age could modulate the relationship between counterfactual thinking and conflict resolution. Twenty-four participants, half over eighteen, and half over 60 years of age were asked to complete two tasks. First, a short story describing an interpersonal conflict was read aloud. Participants had the opportunity to generate thoughts spontaneously, and then were prompted to produce counterfactual thoughts. Next, participants were asked to identify how each counterfactual thought might relate to conflict resolution. The second activity was similar; the only alteration was a substitution of the short story for participants' personal account of an episode of interpersonal conflict from their own lives. We used statistical procedures to analyze the frequency of different types of thoughts and compare them between both age groups. We found that interpersonal conflicts did give rise to counterfactual thoughts, though only at a rate of 10%. A simple prompt is sufficient, however, to increase the proportion of counterfactual thoughts to 80%. Most of these counterfactuals were self-focused, ascendant and additive, suggesting that they served a preparatory function, especially when participants thought about conflicts that did not involve them personally. When participants thought about their own conflicts, however, the counterfactuals they produces were more diverse; the proportion of descendant counterfactuals increased across all ages, possibly because emotional regulation was also activated in this condition. A personal perspective on a conflict also heralded an increase in subtractive thoughts among participants under 60, while participants over 60 produced a greater number of substitutive thoughts. We hypothesize that younger participants used subtractive thoughts to identify broad patterns of resources and challenges that could be explored or avoided in the future; older participants, in their turn, used substitutive thoughts to regulate emotions and build and assign meaning to their life journey.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Um estudo semiótico de relatos sobre a interação entre profissionais da saúde e pacientes no SUS(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-06-29) Sousa, Stephani Izidro de; Barros, Mariana Luz Pessoa de; https://lattes.cnpq.br/4830505244404566; https://lattes.cnpq.br/7408186965865643Interaction is an essential component of the communication process in society, it permeates all social relations in some way, and is, at the same time, a linguistic and discursive phenomenon. All the time we are creating and recreating our identities, proving and contesting ideological positions, establishing and transcending boundaries, fighting for places in society, and all this happens in and through language. The present work aimed to examine a specific type of interaction, the relationship between health professionals and SUS patients, as seen through accounts collected from interviews conducted with these subjects in a SUS Emergency Care Unit located in the countryside of the state of São Paulo. These reports were documented, the most relevant excerpts were transcribed and analyzed using semiotic theory and establishing dialogue with other lines of text and discourse studies, especially with Conversation Analysis and French Discourse Analysis. In these interviews, conducted with health professionals, such as doctors, nurses, dentists and health agents, and with patients, we could notice, above all, the construction of ethos as a language effect on the participants of the interaction and how this could be a good example of how the type of interaction can be defined by issues that go beyond the purely linguistic criterion, since the social roles assumed in this communication situation are taken into account, as well as socioeconomic and cultural issues revealed discursively.listelement.badge.dso-typeItem, Blockchain como modelo de inovação na sistematização das informações para exportação de café(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2021-06-29) Araujo, Guilherme Patricio de; Santos, Jeronimo Alves dos; https://lattes.cnpq.br/6360442111575366; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1282351111578292With the market increasingly looking for innovation and ease in finding information and optimizing time, the blockchain appears as a viable alternative to serve the entire export chain in the coffee sector. The general objective of this work is to investigate technological alternatives to fill the gap in the coffee growing chain, regarding the transparency of information, while the specific ones are: to describe the panorama of the commercialization of Brazilian coffee; ICMS operationalization with trends in blockchain usage; and blockchain as a model of innovation in the sector. The work was conducted through the use of secondary data obtained through bibliographical reviews, books, academic works, websites of public and private institutions, among other existing productions in the literature related to the field of study. The analysis was descriptive and quantitative, based on the theoretical field in an extensive and exploratory way. The main results are: payment of most taxes at source, with the producer as the weak link in the chain, reflecting on its profitability. Brazil as the largest coffee exporter in the world, with the United States as the largest client country, and Europe as the largest client continent. Need to create a sharable and easily accessible data platform, with the producer as the source user to see how much taxes he pays, in addition to helping him in the timing of management (planting/harvesting), and indication of sale to the cooperative , where it will therefore continue to update the data (quantity and quality) until later it arrives at the trading, which will send it to the destination countries, becoming an easy-to-use, accessible, safe, traceable and immutable system, positive against fraud. It is concluded that government support in the creation of a platform for the coffee chain will positively help all members of the chain, below, there is a need for a tax reform in the field and the creation of a single tax, in order to facilitate understanding and understanding of your destiny.
