A cidade de Sorocaba (SP) no contexto das imigrações haitianas

Abstract

The following term paper will analyze Haitian immigration in Sorocaba (SP), using the concept of territory and territorialization to identify the space and the individual immigrant respectively, as well as analyzing the concepto f migration in geographic studies and understanding the reasons for the Haitian migratory flow in the country, will also cover the problem of periphery of immigrants and refugees. The analyzes will be made from the data obtained by the municipality’s CRAS and CadÚnico, comparing them with the current data from Sorocaba Citizenship Secretariat, referring to the migratory flows of the Years 2017, 2018 and 2019. In addiction, the Federal Migration Law, the Municipal Policy for Immigrants of the city of São Paulo and the Sorocaba Immigration Law Project are analyzed.
