Apresentando o teorema de Bayes por meio de aplicações

Abstract

The main objective in this work is to present the Bayes Theorem through some of its main applications: the Bayesian Decision Theory, the Naive Bayes Algorithm and in the basic education. Despite at the beginning there was a great resistance from mathematicians to use it, this theorem is currently considered one of the most important relations involving conditional probabilities and this reflects in its applications that are very useful in several segments. For each of the applications, the mathematical language was approached in the study of the referred theorem, articulated with examples of situations in which they were used, based on qualitative research in the bibliographic modality. In the end, it was noticed that presenting Bayes' Theorem through applications makes it less complicated, constituting an alternative form of approach, in terms of teaching-learning in the study of probabilistic notions.
