Resumo
Awakening students' interest in motivating learning that makes them critical citizens is not an easy task for us educators. The challenges involving teaching and learning in a new scenario caused by the emergence of a worldwide pandemic caused by Covid-19 have become even greater, requiring teachers, students, school management and family to join forces to overcome all obstacles that the remote teaching could establish. This research has a qualitative character and aimed to plan and analyze a didactic sequence applied to the teaching of Organic Functions and their properties through the contextualization of the study of hormones in the CTSA (Science, Technology, Society and Environment) perspective. The participating students were from the 3rd year of the Technical Course Integrated to High School (ETIM) in Environment at ETEC Prefeito Alberto Feres, located in the city of Araras-SP. Hormones are present in the daily lives of human beings and it is common for this theme to arouse the interest of adolescents. Its study allowed to make the learning of Organic Functions and their properties a dynamic process through a didactic sequence involving research in scientific publications, experimentation, dialogic classes, lecture and elaboration of a didactic game. Activity records were made by the Microsoft Teams platform, since most of the research took place remotely. The results demonstrate that learning in a contextualized way, through the CTSA perspective, is an important resource, as it allowed students to recognize themselves as critical citizens despite remote teaching, still being a challenging activity.
