Perspectivas pód-Pandemia de COVID-19: Previsão do desemprego no Brasil com o méttodo de Holt-Winters

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on unemployment rates, with a special focus on the gender gap. Using time series methods, we will focus our attention on understanding how the pandemic has affected unemployment. We will employ the Holt-Winters exponential smoothing method to make predictions about the behavior of the time series related to men and women. We will then compare these predictions with the actual data to assess the accuracy and consistency of the projections made. This work seeks to provide valuable insights into the nuances of the impact of the pandemic on unemployment, especially with regard to gender differences.
