The work, of autobiographical character, seeks to explain some difficulties of a person with a disability in the university environment and how much this influences and modifies their academic and professional training, highlighting my experiences for training as a translator and interpreter of Libras, focusing on the difficulty of training and carrying out the profession on a daily basis. To support these issues, I will bring the studies as a theoretical framework. sociocultural aspects of disability. Then I will articulate the training of the interpreter of Libras from a brief bibliographic survey of the area. Finally, I do some considerations about the (im)possibilities and difficulties of training of a Libras interpreter with a disability within the university and within the Bachelor's Degree in Translation and Interpretation in Libras/Language Portuguese, using for this the methodological resource of scenes (LUZ, 2011), with the objective of problematizing my own training path in the area and to bring to the scene the problem of training Libras interpreters with deficiency.
