The study presents an integrative literature review on parenting interventions aimed at parents of preadolescents and adolescents, with the purpose of identifying strategies, techniques, and approaches that have produced more positive results. Articles were searched in the PubMed, Web of Science, Bireme, Scielo, and Lilacs databases using the keywords: (intervention) AND (parents) AND (child* OR adolescen*), in April 2022. After analyzing the inclusion and exclusion criteria, a total of eleven articles constituted the final sample. Among the main topics addressed with this audience are parenting skills, communication, anxiety and depression, health education, externalizing and/or internalizing problems, conflict resolution, and positive parenting. Culturally appropriate interventions aimed at low to middle-income populations have shown promising results. It is also noteworthy that there is a lack of interventions that have collected data to assess outcomes from third-party informants: data collection conducted only with caregivers or caregivers and children is a significant limitation in the field. The importance of interventions aimed at this audience that carry methodological rigor, are evidence-based, and properly contextualized, as well as that prioritize the collection of reports from diverse sources, is emphasized.
