Abstract

The supervised internship took place at the General Secretariat of Environmental Management and Sustainability (SGAS) at UFSCar, focusing on the implementation and monitoring of a compost bin linked to the Community Garden Project. The activities involved planning, assembling, and monitoring the vermicomposting process, including the first biofertilizer collection, as well as supporting awareness-raising and garden care initiatives. The experience allowed me to apply knowledge from my undergraduate degree in Environmental Management and Analysis, develop technical and personal skills, and reflect on the challenges of the profession given limited resources and the need for community engagement. The internship contributed to the promotion of sustainable practices on campus and to the intern's academic development.
