Resumo
Population aging represents an important transformation in
demographics and the dynamics of society. Along with this phenomenon, demands grow
of the elderly population, especially those living in urban areas, with
Housing is one of the main challenges of cities, given the specificities of
elderly person. In this scenario, housing policies that guarantee the right to housing
are implemented and are highlighted for their social relevance. The crisis
of the COVID-19 pandemic has required people to socially isolate,
stay in their homes, especially for elderly people, generating
impacts on health, decreased ties and social participation, in addition to illnesses
chronic diseases, financial restrictions and a decrease in healthy habits. This study has
The objective is to analyze the strategies used by professionals who worked
in a housing policy of social interest for elderly people during the
pandemic period. This is a quantitative-qualitative research carried out in
residential Palacete dos Artistas, managed by the Municipality of São
Paulo. It offers 50 apartments for elderly artists,
independent, active, without their own home and who receive up to 3 minimum wages. THE

such as empathy, communication, technical and ethical knowledge, and flexibility. To the
strategies and learning during the period were expanded and made it possible to alleviate
consequences imposed by the pandemic through adaptations to the
difficulties faced, such as the effectiveness of remote work, training to
use of technological resources, as well as security for Palacete residents
food and rent exemption. It is essential to pay attention to the
learning obtained, improve strategies such as intersectorality and
gerontological knowledge, based on people’s multidimensional demands
elderly women, in order to prepare them to face future public health challenges.
