As dinâmicas intersetoriais do Agronegócio Gaúcho no contexto de crises climáticas: Uma análise insumo-produto

Abstract

The study analyzes the intersectoral interactions of agribusiness in Rio Grande do Sul (RS) and its economic repercussions in Brazil, using a 2011 interregional input-output matrix integrating six regions (RS, South, North, Northeast, Southeast, and Midwest). The identified problem is the vulnerability of RS's agroindustrial sectors to extreme climate events, which disrupt national supply chains. The objective is to understand intra- and interregional economic interactions, identify key sectors, and simulate economic impacts under disruption scenarios. The methodology employs economic multipliers, linkage indices, and the hypothetical extraction method. Results indicate that the analyzed sectors have varied relevance within national value chains, with significant dynamism between RS and the Southeast. The study concludes that public policies are critical to mitigating climate effects, fostering economic resilience, and ensuring interregional productive integration.
