Modelagem matemática: uma experiência na escola

Abstract

The object of this study was the use of mathematical modeling for the teaching and learning of first-degree equations in basic education. The main objective was, through the implementation of a pedagogical teaching alternative using mathematical modeling, to approach the concept of equations in a school experience. The proposal was to develop, plan, carry out and analyze this teaching alternative with Middle School 8th grade students (Ensino Fundamental Anos Finais) from a public school in a city in the interior of São Paulo. The results were analyzed and discussed with the students.
