As luzes d’A Lanterna : iluminismo educacional e educação anarquista em edições de um jornal libertário paulistano
Abstract
The anarchist movement, contemporary to the Enlightenment, has the press like one of its main dissemination tools, advertising and expression. This type of literature that integrates the reference of educational research without, however, represent the main source. Educational Enlightenment, in turn, is traditionally studied from the written of authors who did not represent the workers expropriated by capital. That said, relying on documentary analysis methodology, the research presented here aims to: demonstrate the proximity of the two strands of thought (anarchist and Enlightenment); and verify the presence of the ideals of the Enlightenment that permeate the texts of productions that circulated among workers, especially the libertarian journal A Lanterna, published in São Paulo in the early
twentieth century. Such ideals are represented in this research, the categories: Society, Inequality & Freedom; Education, Religion, Science & Rationality; and Women & School Education - identified during the readings issues discussed by both strands of thought (anarchist and Enlightenment). During the following text, are exposed proximities between the ideals analyzed, after all, it was found that, saved the ideal society concept differences, the study authors looked for transform society, weaving criticism of the government of their times and electing education as an important tool of emancipation and achievement targets transformations. We were also able to identify ideals of the Enlightenment in the publications analyzed of libertarian newspaper A Lanterna. It is also expected to provide an expansion of research sources, allowing the libertarian press can also contribute to the research on the educational enlightenment.
