Digital Information and Communication Technologies (DICTs) have profoundly transformed forms of social interaction, knowledge production, and people's participation in the world, also impacting historically marginalized groups in formal education, such as young people, adults, and the elderly in the process of schooling. This work had the general objective of investigating the perceptions of students and educators regarding the use of DICTs in Youth and Adult Education (EJA) in order to promote an education that fosters the autonomy and emancipation of students. To this end, publications from the national meetings of the National Association of Postgraduate Studies and Research in Education (ANPEd), in working group (GT) 18, published between 2015 and 2023, were used as sources. The research was qualitative in nature and was carried out through bibliographic research, organized in four stages: project development, bibliography collection and selection, explanatory data analysis, and integrative synthesis of the hypotheses raised. The selection of sources involved four phases of progressive reading: recognition, general exploration, critical selective reading, and reflective interpretive reading. The results showed that the integration of ICTs goes beyond technical mastery, requiring dialogical, critical, and emancipatory practices. Challenges such as unequal access, lack of digital literacy, and insufficient teacher training persist, limiting the transformative potential of these technologies. However, when mediated by authentic dialogue and recognition of the subjects' knowledge, ICTs promote advances in autonomy, protagonism, and maintenance of the educational bond, especially in adverse contexts, such as during the pandemic. The conclusions pointed to the need for discussion about ICTs in the fertile educational ground of EJA (Youth and Adult Education).

“Não existe branquitude”: um estudo sobre a articulação entre os conceitos de branquitude e negação
(Universidade Federal de São Carlos, 2025-12-02) Freitas, Ivo Gabriel Belucci de; Câmara, Leonardo Cardoso Portela; https://lattes.cnpq.br/0876503068661138
Whiteness, defined as a structure of power and white racial identity, relates to the psychoanalytic concept of denial, as a defense mechanism that, according to Freud, allows the emergence of unconscious contents under the condition of being denied. In Brazil, Lélia Gonzalez points to denial as the basis of structural racism, highlighting how Brazilian culture erases the African contribution and reinforces the universality of whiteness. Therefore, this work aims to investigate the relationship between the concepts of denial, drawing on theoretical contributions from psychoanalysis and sociology, in order to understand how the defense mechanism of denial, through the suspension of repression, contributes to the construction of white racial identity and the maintenance of its privileges in Brazilian society. To this end, an analysis of psychoanalytic and sociological works will be carried out, following Garcia-Roza's (1991) model of theoretical psychoanalytic research.

This study aims to present reflections on the concepts of man and masculinity, seeking to highlight the issues involved in this context based on an analysis of the phenomenon on two different scales: the group and the subjective. In addition, it aims to propose a dismantling of the hegemonic and paradigmatic weight of these categories, showing their essential contradictions throughout history. To this end, it covers part of the psychoanalytic theoretical scope, emphasizing Freudian works that, in effect, allow for a detailed reading of the concepts analyzed. Finally, it reflects on the possible directions that the proposed discussion may take, with the aim of raising one of several paths that can be taken in this scenario.

The increasing complexity of production processes and the intensification of labor demands make occupational risks less visible and more difficult to manage, reinforcing the need for instruments that guide the organization and monitoring of working conditions. In this context, this study aimed to adapt the MPEC method for analyzing and transforming work in a public university, based on ergonomic principles. This is an exploratory and qualitative research, supported by two analytical dimensions: (i) understanding the institutional reality through bibliographic review and documentary research; and (ii) the perception of workers, obtained through structured interviews analyzed according to the content analysis technique. The results showed that, although the institution has defined guidelines and goals, a large part of the actions remains concentrated in the prospective phase, with limited, fragmented, and poorly monitored execution. The techniques that comprise the MPEC demonstrated high acceptance, with averages ranging from 8.3 to 9.5, indicating recognition of their practical relevance. However, significant limitations emerged during its implementation, including a scarcity of material and financial resources, a lack of prior qualifications, low technical familiarity, time constraints, difficulties in recording and systematically analyzing information, as well as reduced participation and engagement. The heterogeneity of sectors and demands also hindered the prioritization of actions, and in some cases, the rigidity of steps compromised adaptation to real work routines. The main improvements suggested involved strengthening training and continuous awareness, standardizing procedures with clear language, simplifying complex steps, expanding intersectoral communication, establishing permanent spaces for participation and the exchange of experiences, and implementing routines for monitoring the actions implemented. These improvement proposals strengthen the institutional capacity to integrate the analysis and transformation of work into the organizational daily routine. From this perspective, the adapted method has the potential to consolidate systematic ergonomic practices, aligned with the real needs of workers and organizational and legal requirements.

This paper aims to recover the historical process of privatization of water and sanitation services in Brazil and some emblematic cases in the international context and their consequences, emphasizing the movements of renationalization that highlight the limits of the privatization model in guaranteeing the human right to water. The historical analysis of the privatization of water and sanitation services, both in the international and Brazilian context, reveals a consistent and deeply worrying pattern: the transformation of a fundamental human right into a commodity and financial asset systematically results in the aggravation of social inequalities, environmental deterioration, and the compromise of universal access.

Difficulties in helping a teenage child can generate tensions between the parents, reducing the quality of the coparenting relationship and affecting the emotional bond between the parents. Thus, skills for managing the stress itself, during interactions between partners, may be important. However, in the existing literature, there is little evidence about these skills and how they affect the coparenting relationship. The objectives of this study, therefore, are: (a) to evaluate the perceptions of fathers and mothers who have teenage children about their dyadic coping skills, each partner's involvement in maintaining the coparenting relationship, and the quality of this relationship; and (b) to investigate the relationships between these three constructs. As such, 107 mothers and fathers of a teenage child, who resided with their partner, completed: a sociodemographic questionnaire, the Dyadic Coping Inventory, a questionnaire on parental involvement in managing the coparenting relationship, and the Coparenting Relationship Scale, via Google Forms. The scores of mothers and fathers were compared, using the Mann-Whitney U test, and the relationships between dyadic coping, engagement in managing the coparental relationship, and the quality of the coparental relationship were verified, using Spearman's test of correlation. There were no significant gender differences involving the Dyadic Coping instrument, although both fathers and mothers considered that women were less open than men to communication about stressful situations involving their adolescent child. With respect to relationship engagement, men reported initiating conversations with the same frequency as their partner, whereas women reported initiating conversations significantly more frequently than their partner. In addition, women evaluated the division of labor related to parenting their adolescent child less positively than men. Correlations were found between the six dimensions of dyadic coping and seven dimensions of coparenting for both genders, but these relationships were both more numerous and of greater strength for women than for men. Thus, mothers’ and fathers’ perceptions of how their partner responds to concerns involving an adolescent child contribute to their perceptions of the quality of the coparenting relationship, with a stronger effect for women than for men. Considering that these constructs are related, especially in the case of mothers, these findings support the development and evaluation of interventions aimed at strengthening emotional management skills during interactions between coparenting partners who experience frequent conflict, as a way of contributing to the professional practice of psychologists working with families with adolescents.

Time series analysis is a statistical technique aimed at studying observations collected over time, which naturally exhibit interdependence. This type of analysis plays an important role in understanding the behavior of data over time, especially when there are indications that this behavior has undergone some modification. These changes, known as change points, represent significant alterations in series characteristics such as mean, variance, or trend, and are generally associated with events of major impact in the context of the data, such as economic crises, political shocks, or pandemics. With computational advancements and, consequently, the availability of longer time series, there arises a need to develop and study methods capable of detecting these change points in extensive data without having a very high computational complexity, that is, methods that are both accurate and efficient. In this context, this work aims to identify change points in a real financial series, using the Pruned Exact Linear Time (PELT) algorithm, which achieves good accuracy in identifying the points and also has low computational complexity, as it combines the minimization of a cost function with a pruning method.

Bartter Syndrome (BS) and Nail–Patella Syndrome (NPS) are rare renal genetic diseases. BS affects about 1 in 1,000,000 live births and has autosomal recessive inheritance. It is a tubulopathy, originating from dysfunctions in salt transport in the thick ascending limb of the loop of Henle, located in the nephron. BS is divided into types according to the gene, and consequently the protein, in which the mutation occurs (SLC12A1, KCNJ1, CLCNKB, BSND, or CLCNKA and CLCNKB). The symptoms of BS include salt loss, hypokalemic alkalosis, growth delay, and developmental alterations. Nail Patella Syndrome has an approximate prevalence of 1 in 50,000 live births and has autosomal dominant inheritance. It occurs in people who have pathogenic mutations in the LMX1B gene, which encodes a transcription factor essential to the development of various structures in the embryonic process. Patients may present alterations in the nails, joints, eyes, kidneys, among others. The precise diagnosis of rare genetic diseases is important to guide treatment, provide better genetic counseling to families, and contribute to understanding the physiological processes involved in these pathogeneses. This work is a series of case reports, and aims to identify genetic alterations associated with Bartter and Nail–Patella syndromes in Brazilian patients with clinical suspicion of these conditions. After due consent, molecular diagnosis of the patients and, when possible, their parents was performed. The identified variants were analyzed through consultation of databases and pathogenicity-prediction algorithms to confirm their relation to the patients’ clinical presentation. The study included one NPS patient, with typical clinical manifestations; sequencing revealed the variant rs1588307477 (p.Val265Leu) in the LMX1B gene. Five patients presented BS type III, carrying mutations in the CLCNKB gene, and one of these patients presented a variant not previously reported in the literature (c.1408+1G>C). One patient has BS type IV, with late diagnosis confirmed in this study by the identification of two variants in compound heterozygosity, including the novel variant c.784delG. The contextualization of the presented cases in light of the literature led to the proposal of two hypotheses: that the BSND variant c.139G>A; p.Gly47Arg is associated with a milder phenotypic presentation of type IV SP, and that the BSND variant c.784delG; p.(Ala262Profs*68) has as its pathophysiological mechanism an impairment in the regulation of ClC-K channel transport.

Conservation Units are one of the main ways to promote the preservation and sustainable use of natural resources. However, achieving these goals poses several challenges, especially for Environmental Protection Areas (EPAs), a category that can include several anthropic uses, including urban areas. The EPA Itupararanga, located in the southern region of the State of São Paulo, include eight municipalities with different socioeconomic features, and it holds great importance for the preservation of water resources and biodiversity in Alto Sorocaba sub-basin. This study aimed to compare the zoning defined by the Management Plan of this protected area, which establishes regulations, guidelines and restrictions for municipalities within its territory, with the zoning defined by the Municipal Master Plans, the basic instrument of municipal development policy. The zoning overlay was performed using geoprocessing techniques, comparing land use guidelines. Conflicts between the regulatory instruments were identified in more than 50% of EPA’s area, mainly related to the promotion of urban expansion on environmentally fragile and rural areas, which reveals the prevalence of predominant political and economic interests, harming environmental preservation and participatory management. On the other hand, the current Municipal Master Plans mention the EPA and the need to comply with its Management Plan, which was not the case in the previous version, representing a positive step forward to meet its purposes, which highlights the importance of integrated management, with participation of diverse stakeholders. The cartographic data produced will provide tools for the territorial management in the area and support the development of more effective public policies.

The study analyzes the process of preparing sustainability reports in the sugarcane-bioenergy sector in the state of São Paulo, taking as reference the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards and the ABNT PR 2030 guidelines, with an emphasis on the incorporation of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices by sugarcane producers in São Paulo. Using a qualitative approach, based on bibliographic and documentary review, the research aims to propose guidelines and a technical support model that assists producers of different sizes in the adoption, management, and reporting of sustainable practices, contributing to greater transparency and alignment with contemporary demands for socio-environmental responsibility in agribusiness. To structure the proposal, analytical and strategic management tools are employed, such as the materiality matrix for identifying priority themes; SWOT analysis for evaluating internal and external conditions related to ESG implementation; the Business Model Canvas for organizing the business model of SustentaAgro Consultoria; and OKRs and KPIs for defining, monitoring, and measuring goals and performance indicators. The results show that, although large organizations in the sugarcane-bioenergy sector have advanced in sustainability reporting, small and medium-sized producers still face significant limitations, mainly related to the scarcity of financial resources, lack of technical training, and difficulty in interpreting international norms and standards. It is concluded that the proposed model contributes to making the reporting process more accessible and applicable to the rural context, strengthening sustainable management practices and reducing the risks of greenwashing. It is recommended that future research empirically validate the applicability of the model and deepen analyses on the economic viability and impact of ESG practices in the agricultural sector.

Emotional intelligence (EI) has been extensively studied as a crucial factor for psychological well-being and interpersonal success. EI is associated with various areas of life, including the quality of romantic relationships, significantly influencing these bonds. However, some of these relationships can be dysfunctional and harmful to the individuals involved, especially when there is emotional dependency (ED). ED is characterized by a pattern of behaviors and beliefs centered on the intimate partner, leaving the emotionally dependent individual vulnerable to psychological distress, violence, and suicide attempts. Although EI may potentially act as a protective factor against ED, research on this correlation is still scarce in Brazil. Furthermore, stressful and vulnerable situations can be mitigated with quality social support (SS) from networks of friends, family, or other social groups. Thus, it is hypothesized that individuals with greater development of emotional intelligence and who perceive quality social support have less emotional dependency. In this context, the present study seeks to explore the relationship between EI, ED, and SS. The objective is to investigate the relationship between emotional intelligence, emotional dependency, and social support in people who are in romantic relationships in Brazil. The project will use a quantitative approach, employing instruments to assess emotional intelligence (TOHE, QoRE, QoE), emotional dependency (CDE), and social support (EPSUS-A) in a diverse sample of adults who are in romantic relationships. It is expected that the results found here can serve as a reference for the development of future psychological interventions and treatments in the management of emotional dependency.

According to the DSM-5-TR, Autism Spectrum Disorder is a neurodevelopmental disorder diagnosed by persistent deficits in sociability and communication, and restricted and repetitive patterns of behavior, interests, or activities. The objective of this study stems from aligning these behavioral patterns of restricted and repetitive interests, difficulties in sociability, social interaction, engagement in activities of no interest, and prior knowledge of the literature, suggesting the use of games and playful activities as a facilitator of interaction and engagement of children with ASD with their peers and the researcher. Thus, the study investigated the engagement of children with ASD in an activity designed according to their particular interests compared to the same game with a generic theme. Three children diagnosed with ASD, aged 4 to 5 years, attending the Colégio de Aplicação of UFSCar, participated in the research. The data collection methodology was designed in six stages: preference assessment, pre-test, neutral game, probe 1, specific game, and probe 2. The first stage defined less preferred and more preferred stimuli. The figures were used to assemble the picture matching album games, while the pre-test and probes assessed numbering, reading, and word identification. The stages were recorded and compared for each participant, evaluating the evolution of the aforementioned skills and interactions with the researcher, material, and verbal-vocal responses. The results demonstrated that adapting the material through specific stimuli for each child positively impacts their engagement, bonding, and sociability.

Emotional intelligence (EI) is a psychological construct that encompasses the capacities for emotional perception, emotional facilitation of thought, emotional understanding, and emotional management. EI is present in a wide variety of contexts, such as competitive sports. However, there is little literature on EI in university sports, whose athletes have greater psychological needs compared to professionals. The objective of this study, therefore, was to evaluate emotional aspects and skills of university athletes before and after a competition. The sample consisted of 37 athletes from individual sports in a university athletic association. Four data collections were carried out at different times, from preparation to post-competition, in which the following were evaluated: emotional understanding; sociability; positive and negative affect; and emotional regulation, variables that were related to self-perception of performance in sports and actual performance. The results were analyzed using descriptive statistics and repeated measures ANOVA. Additionally, Spearman's correlation test was performed to verify the level of association between the psychological constructs and the two performance variables in the competition, as well as a network analysis. The findings indicate that the presence of negative affect is more impactful on athletic performance than positive affect. Furthermore, a tendency was found for individuals with more negative affect to evaluate themselves negatively and lose the competition. Finally, emotional intelligence and sociability were shown to have an indirect influence on performance, potentially acting as a mitigator of negative affect, without overriding technical and infrastructural factors in sports.

The Brazilian pulp sector holds a prominent position in the international market, supported by competitive advantages associated with high forest productivity, industrial scale, and production efficiency. In this context, the present study aims to conduct a literature review on the competitiveness of the Brazilian pulp industry, based on the analysis of national and international studies published mainly between 2020 and 2025. The research adopts a literature review methodology, drawing on scientific articles that address economic, productive, environmental, and institutional aspects of the sector. The results indicate that Brazilian competitiveness is shaped by interdependent structural factors, such as logistical efficiency, productive concentration, environmental governance, price dynamics, dependence on external markets, and sensitivity to climate-related risks. The literature also shows that short-term variables, such as exchange rate fluctuations, have limited influence on export performance when compared to long-term factors, including forest productivity, technological innovation, and territorial planning. It is concluded that sustaining the competitiveness of the Brazilian pulp industry depends on integrated strategies that reconcile economic efficiency, environmental sustainability, and market diversification, reinforcing the need for analytical approaches that integrate multiple dimensions of the sector.

Grain sorghum [Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench] has great potential for cultivation in Brazil, as it is considered a hardy crop, usually grown in marginal areas, outside the ideal sowing season and under low water availability. Although it is tolerant to water deficit, insufficient water can negatively affect its productive performance. In this scenario, it is necessary to seek sustainable alternatives to mitigate the impacts of water deficit without increasing production costs. In this context, the use of bio-inputs based on Priestia aryabhattai may reduce the effects of water stress on agricultural crops. However, studies involving sorghum are still scarce. The objective of this study was to evaluate the productive performance of sorghum as a function of inoculation or co-inoculation with P. aryabhattai under different water regimes. The experiment was conducted in a greenhouse using a randomized block design, arranged in a 3 × 3 factorial scheme, with five replications. The factors evaluated were bio-input management (seed inoculation, seed inoculation combined with co-inoculation at flowering, and a non-inoculated control) and irrigation levels (85%, 50%, and 30% of available water capacity – AWC). The results showed that under moderate water deficit (50% AWC), inoculation and co-inoculation promoted an 11.6% increase in fresh mass compared to the control. Under severe water deficit (30% AWC), co-inoculation resulted in increases of 17.5% in fresh mass and 15.1% in dry mass relative to the control. Regarding root development, co-inoculation led to higher root dry mass both under non-deficit conditions and under severe water stress. Co-inoculation also increased the number of grains per plant by 37%, 28%, and 81% under the 85%, 50%, and 30% AWC regimes, respectively, in addition to increasing thousand-grain weight and grain yield, with gains of up to 66% under non-deficit conditions and up to 81% under severe deficit. It is concluded that co-inoculation with P. aryabhattai is effective in mitigating the effects of water scarcity, thereby increasing sorghum resilience and productivity.

Caregivers who work with children in residential care may be at risk of developing Compassion Fatigue, a form of physical and emotional exhaustion resulting from the empathic cost of dealing with others’ suffering. This study aimed to investigate the levels of Compassion Fatigue among professionals working with children in residential care and to identify the relationship between Compassion Fatigue levels and the professionals’ own Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). Fifteen professionals participated in the study. ACEs were assessed using the ACE score, while Burnout, Compassion Fatigue, and Compassion Satisfaction were measured using the ProQOL scale. Descriptive analyses and Spearman correlations were conducted. Compassion Fatigue remained low (73% low; 27% moderate), as did Burnout (86.6% low; 13.3% moderate), whereas Compassion Satisfaction was high (53.3% high; 46.6% moderate). Regarding ACEs, 33.3% reported no adverse experiences, 40.0% reported between 1 and 3, and 26.7% reported ≥4, with a mean ACE score of 2.33 (SD = 2.29). Correlations between ACEs and compassion satisfaction and fatigue were moderate but not statistically significant (rho = -0.380–0.373; p = 0.162–0.176). A significant negative correlation was found between emotional neglect and burnout (rho = −0.528; p = 0.043). The results indicate that although most professionals had experienced at least one ACE, levels of burnout and compassion fatigue remained low, while compassion satisfaction was high. The associations found suggest that ACEs may have some influence on workers’ emotional outcomes, but in a heterogeneous manner and likely mediated by external factors.Se quiser, posso formatar como resumo científico, versão curta ou versão para pôster.

This work aims to offer pedagogical resources that spark interest in Chemistry and promote learning that integrates science, citizenship, and society. It also supports basic education teachers in creating more contextualized educational practices that are closer to the students' reality. Based on this purpose, a proposal for teaching Chemistry to high school students is presented, using depression and the use of antidepressants as the theme. The theme was chosen due to the increase in mental disorders among adolescents and the importance of bringing Chemistry closer to the reality and daily lives of students. Based on the Science-Technology-Society (STS) approach, the work seeks to integrate concepts of Chemistry such as molecular structure, neurotransmitters, and organic reactions with social, ethical, and public health issues, promoting critical learning. Didactic materials and activities were developed, such as the text "The Chemistry of Depression," the educational game "Neurotransmitters," and a practical activity on the enantiomers of fluoxetine. These activities are expected to help students understand how chemistry relates to brain function, the effects of medications, and the social issues surrounding depression treatment. They are also expected to stimulate reflection on access to medication, the role of the pharmaceutical industry, and social stigma.

This study aims to investigate how emotional intelligence and personality relate to the grieving process in mothers who have lost their children. Approximately 50 women over 18 years of age will participate in the research. Data collection will be carried out using structured questionnaires that will assess emotional intelligence (TOHE, QoRE, and QoE), personality (BFI), and grief (TRIG). The expected results indicate whether individuals with high levels of emotional intelligence exhibit better adaptive strategies, resulting in more effective grief coping. Furthermore, it is believed that certain personality traits, such as high conscientiousness and low neuroticism, are associated with a less intense and more adaptive grief experience. It is also predicted that the interaction between high emotional intelligence and positive personality traits (such as agreeableness and openness to experience) will lead to a healthier and less dysfunctional grief experience.
