A contação de histórias na Educação Infantil
Abstract
The present research, of a qualitative and bibliographic nature, proposes to analyze and understand the studies about the learning of children in Early Childhood Education based on storytelling, seeking an answer to the following problem question: What, and in what ways do children learn from storytelling? The work also seeks to answer questions arising from the main one: What is the origin of storytelling? How is the moment of storytelling in Early Childhood Education? The work begins with a historical presentation on storytelling, which showed that it is an ancient practice carried out since Prehistory. In sequence, a storytelling itinerary is presented that explores the necessary preparation on the part of the teacher-teller before telling a story, the moment in which the practice takes place, and the reflections made after the meeting. It was possible to conclude that storytelling has the capacity to develop different types of learning in the child in the context of Early Childhood Education, including the awakening of customs and values, the development of orality, and facilitation in the teaching and learning process.
